What is your data used for?
Each year, around 1,500 businesses with 1–9 employees in the private urban business sector report their activities. Your response is essential for shedding light on the activities of small businesses and the challenges they face. In 2026, we are using the results to analyse small businesses’ bookkeeping and e-invoicing practices. The data are also used by other public authorities, trade associations and researchers. See the latest news from the survey at the bottom of the page.

You can download an overview of all the questions in the survey - as a draft or in preparation of your report.
Companies typically spend 10 minutes on this survey.

A. Report with MitID
Click on the blue botton at the top of this page and report using MitID Erhverv.
- When logged in, you can report to multiple statistics and for multiple periods.
- If the reporting process is interrupted, you can save a draft.
- You can reopen and correct submitted reports using MitID Erhverv.
B. Report without MitID
Click on the white botton at the top of this page and go directly to the report without logging in with MitID.
- The link opens the form for the current period.
- Enter the company’s CVR and journal no. found in the reporting request.
- You can also start your report via the direct link in the reporting request.
- Please note: If you choose to report without MitID, you should fill in and submit data in one go. Your data will not be saved if you exit before submitting the report. It is also not possible to reopen or correct your report after submission.

Frequently asked questions
Reporting is mandatory by law
Due to EU legislation, Denmark is required to produce a range of business statistics.
Act on Statistics Denmark, Section 8-12a obliges companies to report data for statistical use.
The number of companies required to report
Approximately 1,500 companies are required to report every year.
How are the companies selected?
We take a random sample of companies with 1-9 employees in the private non-residential sector.

Companies typically spend about 10 minutes on this survey – including getting access, retrieving information, entering data and, in some cases, contacting our support. Based on the typical time spent per survey, the total time companies spend on this survey is calculated at 258 hours per year.
