Pro-poor public social spending
Definition
According to the UN definition, the indicator should show the proportion of public expenditure on social transfers, health and education that benefits the poorest 20 per cent of the population. However, the indicator is not compiled in this way in Denmark.
For similar indicatosr please refer to the national indicators VM 1.3.1 and VM 1.3.2. They show, respectively, the proportion of the working-age population receiving public benefits and the proportion of the working-age population receiving long-term public benefits.
