The ministries use the statistics to compare municipal resource allocation for childcare and to develop policies in the area. Interest organizations, such as BUPL, KL, and FOLA, use the statistics to evaluate resource allocation and the service level in the childcare sector. The data is collected based on an agreement between Statistics Denmark and the Ministry of Children and Education.
User Needs
The statistics were first published in 2022, covering the reporting year 2021. The statistics are relevant for various ministries that require data to develop policies in this area and are also expected to be utilized by interest organizations. A working group is associated with the statistics, including participants from organizations such as BUPL and KL, who are regularly informed about the work and provide input for the development of the statistics.
User Satisfaction
The preparation of the statistics was carried out based on a contract between the Ministry of Children and Education and Statistics Denmark.
