Persons in shelters and care homes
See the distribution of gender for individuals staying in shelters or care homes.
Each quarter, the individual accommodation reports data concerning the users who are enrolled or discharged from the accommodation facility. The statistics include all registered stays of a user during the year.
Data are collected from 114 shelters in 2025 (There are 114 unique propositions within section 110 in 2025 cf. Tilbudsportalen). Accommodations that are covered by the statistics must report enrollment and discharges. In addition, at the enrollment information is obtained on where the user stayed lately, and what type of stay it was according to shelters by section 110. In regards to the discharge, question about how the discharge took place and where the user was discharged to is asked. The collected data are linked to information from the population register in Statistics Denmark.
Duration of stays in shelters and care homes
See the number of days that individuals stay in a shelter or care homes.

Rejected inquiries to shelters or care homes by month of inquiry
See the number of inquiries to shelters and care homes where the individual's request for a stay was rejected.
Data are collected from shelters established and operated under Section 110 of the Social Services Act. Each shelter submits a file every quarter containing data on inquiries under Section 110 where the person is not offered a place.
Shelters covered by the statistics must report a range of information, including the date of the inquiry, whether the shelter had a vacancy, whether the person belongs to the target group under Section 110 of the Social Services Act, whether the person meets the shelter's target group criteria and requirements, why the person does not meet these criteria or requirements, why the person was not offered a place, and where the person was referred instead.
The collected data are supplemented with information from the Population Statistics Register at Statistics Denmark.
Rejected inquiries to shelters or care homes for citizens by accomodations target group and capacity
See the number of rejected inquiries to shelters or care homes, where the citizen was in the target group under section 110 of the Social Services Act, by the target group of the accomodation and capacity.
Data are collected from shelters established and operated under Section 110 of the Social Services Act. Each shelter submits a file every quarter containing data on inquiries under Section 110 where the person is not offered a place.

The purpose of the statistics on inquiries to shelters covered by Section 110 of the Social Services Act is to provide information on inquiries about accommodation where the person is not offered a place. The statistics show the number of such inquiries, the reasons why the person is not offered a place and where the person may be referred instead.
The purpose of the statistics Shelters is to provide information about the users of the types of accommodation as prescribed by section 110 of the Social Services Act, which includes reception centers etc. The statistics were originally established by the National Board of Social Appeals in 1999. Until July 1st 2016, the Appeals Board managed the statistics, after which it was transferred to Statistics Denmark.
