Target 2.a: Invest in rural infrastructure, agricultural research, technology and gene banks
Increase investment, including through enhanced international cooperation, in rural infrastructure, agricultural research and extension services, technology development and plant and livestock gene banks in order to enhance agricultural productive capacity in developing countries, in particular least developed countries.

Definition
The indicators cover subsidies paid by the public to the farmers. Statistics Denmark calculates the subsidies based on data from The Danish Agricultural Agency. The payments has in general by declining over the last years. The payments are not accrual, which can give some displacements in the payments between the years.
