Statistics are compiled according to common European guidelines and can therefore be compared with similar statistics from other European countries.
Comparability - geographical
Data is delivered quarterly and yearly to the EU Statistical Office, Eurostat. Data for all EU countries can available at Eurostat. All EU countries are subject to the same rules so that the statistics are produced according to common guidelines and principles.
Comparability over time
The indices are not fully comparable over time as the base year is changed every five years. The latest rebasing (2020=100) took place in 2024.
Coherence - cross domain
For selected agricultural products, they are also highlighted by the Knowledge Center for Agriculture, Agriculture and Food.
