Definition
The indicator is calculated based on equivalized disposable income. This is income after tax and adjusted for the economies of scale that may arise when several people live together. The development for the bottom 40 per cent is measured in comparison with the development in the total population. The measurement is expressed as an index (2015=100) and in Danish kroner. The measurement is annual and not five-yearly as in the UN definition. Otherwise, the calculation follows the UN definition and is prepared by Statistics Denmark.
