Model versions

Continuous work with the model ensures that both equations and data are developed and improved. A new model version will typically collect the results of research efforts in several areas. A new model version is thus associated with testing, error detection and documentation. Before releasing a new model version, users are invited to test a beta version throughout a period of approximately 3 months. After the beta period the new model is finalised and serves as the official model version., A model version is a package with a new model, new data bank and revised forward projections and base line. In addition it is often necessary to revise many of the tools and smaller models that are offered together with ADAM. Documentation of equations, data and model characteristics are renewed in connection with the production of a new model version. The model versions are typically released every 1-2 years. The frequency varies depending on the number of changes in equations and data. It can be more frequently, for example in connection with main revisions in the National Accounts.,

Mission and values

ADAM is and should continue to be the central economic model when analyzing economic policy in Denmark., The , prerequisite,  for this is that the model , - is able to analyze current economic-political challenges, - is consistent with widely accepted economic theory, - reflects all structural economic relationships, - is empirically based on the latest Danish official statistics, To be central in formulating the Danish economic policy, the model should be used in the economic ministries. ADAM should also be known and used by other major players in the economic political debate., It is a prerequisite for the empirical basis, that the databank is always up to date with the newest official statistics and that it contains as long and consistent timeseries as possible. In order to be ready for use for current analysis of important issues, a new model version is published every 1-2 year., We cooporate with users of the model, data suppliers and other modelling environments, in Denmark and internationally, to ensure the highest level of professionalism and usability of the model.

Data banks

ADAM's data bank contains economic key figures which give a suitable and detailed description of the Danish economy. It contains more than 3000 key figures on an annual basis covering the period from the most recent national accounts year back to 1966. The data bank is produced for model use and the time series are therefore consistent and cleared for breaks in data. , The data bank contains data from national accounts, labour market, public finances and financial key numbers. The model ADAM

ADAM (Annual Danish Aggregate Model) is a macroeconomic model developed by the macroeconomic modelling unit of Statistics Denmark. The model gives a simplified mathematical description of the interactions in the Danish economy., The main users of ADAM are the Danish ministries of finance and of economic affairs. In addition a number of interest organisations and financial institutions use the model., It is important that the model is empirically based and most of the behavioral equations are estimated on national accounts data. ADAM is characterised by being a large and disaggregated model., The model is constantly developed and changes are collected in model versions published on average every second year. It can be more often if data is changed, for example during main revisions of the national accounts., For more information contact, Economic models,

Regions, provinces and municipalities, v1:2007-

Name: , NUTS_V1_2007_DK , Description: , With the Danish Structural Reform, which came into force on 1 January 2007, The counties were abolished and replaced by 5 new regions. In addition, 98 municipalities were formed, which replaced the previous 271. For statistical purposes, the 5 regions are further divided into 11 provinces., The reform resulted by law in a new local and regional structure of the whole country with two administrative levels - regions and municipalities - and thereby a change of administrative units. Of the 98 municipalities, 32 municipalities retained the same municipal code and title before and after the reform., This classification includes Christiansø (code 411).
