How are the costs for refuse collection, sludge removal and freight transport by road developing? Find cost indices incl. and excl. fuel and road tax. The statistics are made at the request of The Danish Transport and Logistics Association and Danish Industry., Cost index , A measure of relative changes in costs over time for e.g. a sector or industry. It shows the average change in costs between two periods. Costs refer to the expenditures associated with running a business, such as producing goods and/or providing services. These may include expenses for raw materials, equipment, wages, transport, consumables, rent, consultancy, development, administration and capital costs, although the specific components vary across different cost indices.
