    These statistics cover the millions of overnight-stays that Danish and foreign guests have at hotels, holiday centers, hostels, campgrounds, as well as holiday homes and marinas in Denmark each year. , Introduction, The statistics are published monthly and annually., The category hotel and holiday centers also include motels, inns, guest houses, holiday centers and hostels. The monthly hotel statistics are calculated from reporting from hotels etc. with at least 40 beds, while the yearly statistics also include reports from hotels etc. with at least 10 beds., The monthly camping sites statistics are calculated from reporting from camping sites with a capacity of at least 75 guests per night, while the yearly statistics include all camping sites with a capacity of at least 10 per night., The statistics for marinas are voluntarily reported between May and September., Holiday houses cover all holiday house rentals with at least 25 houses/apartments available for rental.     This set of statistics is focused on the Danish road network — both the road traffic and the investments in the road network.     A population and Housing Census in the making

    Ghana is conducting a digitalized survey based Housing and Population Census for the first time and is also the first country to do so in West Africa., 7 September 2021 12:00 ,  , A cooperation between Statistics Denmark and Ghana Statistical Service aims at strengthening official statistics in Ghana. Therefore, Statistics Denmark follows the Housing and Population Census going on this year in the country., It is the first time ever that Ghana conducts a digitalized survey based Housing and Population Census and the first country to do so in West Africa.,  , A total of 75.000 enumerators have now completed the data collection for the census and the immense work around data cleaning, processing, analysis and publication has begun. , The next ambition is to strengthen the use of administrative data in the country. This will make it, less expensive and labour intensive to conduct the next decennial census and ensure access to timely and accurate statistics for politicians and civilians alike., Statistics Denmark is supporting this process and Ghana’s journey towards a modernized statistical infrastructure.
