Target 2.2

By 2030, end all forms of malnutrition, including achieving, by 2025, the internationally agreed targets on stunting and wasting in children under 5 years of age, and address the nutritional needs of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women and older persons.

Prevalence of malnutrition (weight for height >+2 or <-2 standard deviation from the median of the WHO Child Growth Standards) among children under 5 years of age, by type (wasting and overweight)

Definition

Children in the age group from birth to 5 years of age are weighted at the following times: at birth, 4-5 days after birth, within 14 days, 1 month, 5 weeks, 2 months, 5 months, 8-10 months and annually starting from 1 to 5 years of age. Measurements are performed according to national guidelines for health nurses (health visitors in Denmark) and GPs. Data are, however, not recorded in an electronic format or in a national database, hence not available nor accessible.
