Statistical processing
Data is collected directly from consumer credit companies, while data from the banking sector is gathered from Danmarks Nationalbank. The data is gathered electronically through virk.dk. Consumer credit within the banking sector is corrected for double counting. Once data is collected, a manual validation of the data is carried out before the publication of the aggregated figures.

Data regarding user satisfaction is not gathered at this time.
Accuracy and reliability
The statistic covers all providers of consumer credit and debit payments and the response rate is 100 per cent. There will be no revisions to the statistics. However, there may be some uncertainty associated with coverage error, if new companies aren't observed and gathered in time before publication.

Comparability
There are statistics back to 1999 on consumer credit. The population is defined for relatively few units, causing some sensitivity to the constant changes in the population. This adjustment is a result of new players and where companies no longer meet the requirements to be included in the statistics.
